In modern times amphibians are infamously known for undergoing the most rapid decline of any vertebrate group in human history. The combined effects of climate change, disease, habitat destruction and pollution have not been kind to the animals many of us are familiar with from our own gardens. Shown here are a few photographs to highlight the diversity of this highly-threatened group - hopefully enough to inspire more than just a second glance.
